Break, una idioma mundial

2 augustus 2013 - Mondariz-Balneario, Spanje

Last weekend I went to a festival, when I came there it was very small and there were not a lot of people. In the afternoon, there was also going to be a breakdance show, so I asked someone where it would be and because of the rain it was moved inside.

When Spanish people are telling you how to get somewhere, they are not really specific. Someone told me that the place where the breakdance was moved to, was around the corner. There I asked someone else, again it was around the corner. Then I asked some people who had T-shirts on with the event printed on it and after 10 minutes walking through a lot of Streets we got there.

Through facebook I talked to a bboy, (Kawa, black shadows) he was going to give the show with 2 others. After the show we talked and he gave me some advice, also he introduced me to a student of his, so now I found a place to train!

The boys train almost every day in the busstation of Vigo. It is a public place, but when you train there you don't even notice all the people. Today I went there for the second time. Everybody is really nice and I have to talk Spanish, so I can practice a lot, not only breakdance but also Spanish.

The most exciting thing is that next week there is going to be a big breakdance event in Vigo (40 minutes driving from our village). A workshop at Friday night, a workshop at saturday afternoon and afterward watching battles, it is called : O Marisquiño.

Now, I have only one week left with the Spanish family, the time flew past and I don't feel like I want to leave. So far only the twins were here, monday their sisters will be here as well and the parents have vacation, so we are going to do a lot of fun things. Just relaxing in the house, going to the river, cooking and baking with the girls and just enjoying España!

Hasta luego!
